Local Mart Business Model
Follow one reusable crate of vegetables through the seven stages of the supply chain that Local Mart manages directly, from an Assam field to a household door.

This interactive 3D world illustrates the intended Local Mart supply chain. It does not depict verified farms, facilities or live operations. Each chapter shows its current status.
Seven chapters
Explore the 3D world, or choose any chapter. Open “Chapter details” for what is verified and what is still planned.
Every harvest begins with a farmer’s work. Local Mart’s vision is to be a friend to farmers, connecting their produce with nearby communities.
Local Mart's vegetable supply chain is designed to begin with participating farmers in Assam.
The farmer-partner programme is under development. The number of participating farmers, crops and volumes has not been verified, and this story does not show a specific partner farm.

Chapter 01
Every harvest begins with a farmer’s work. Local Mart’s vision is to be a friend to farmers, connecting their produce with nearby communities.
Local Mart's vegetable supply chain is designed to begin with participating farmers in Assam.
The farmer-partner programme is under development. The number of participating farmers, crops and volumes has not been verified, and this story does not show a specific partner farm.

Chapter 02
A farmer and a Local Mart collection worker meet at the field. In the intended model, each pickup is weighed and recorded so the farmer has a clear supply record.
Local Mart intends to collect daily from participating farmers. Weighing and recording at pickup is meant to give each farmer a clear record of what they supplied.
Collection routes, schedules and coverage have not been verified. No statewide collection network is claimed.

Chapter 03
The care continues after collection: produce is sorted and handled appropriately, respecting the work that went into growing it.
The intended process removes damaged produce and grades by size and condition. Leafy greens may be rinsed in potable water and drained, while many vegetables keep longer when cleaned dry and stored dry.
Handlers wear gloves and hair covers and work on clean contact surfaces. The facility shown is a concept, not an operating Local Mart site.

Chapter 04
The planned cold-room pilot explores how crop-appropriate storage can protect the quality of a farmer’s harvest.
Morang & Morangs plans to test cold storage through a 15 MT farmer-partner cold-room pilot in Merapani, Golaghat district. The pilot is intended to validate handling, storage, utilisation and dispatch before any expansion.
The cold room shown is a concept, not completed infrastructure. Storage temperature depends on the crop, and not every vegetable needs cold storage.

Chapter 05
The intended network connects the harvest to neighbourhood retail, with produce checked as it changes hands.
The intended model moves graded produce from storage to retail warehouses, with every arrival checked against what was dispatched.
Local Mart does not claim operating retail warehouses or an active fleet. Locations and transport arrangements are still to be established.

Chapter 06
In the intended system, received produce becomes a stock record: a connection between the farmer’s harvest and what a customer can choose.
Recording each arrival is what allows the app to offer customers only what is actually in stock.
The phone screen in this story is illustrative. It does not show real products, quantities or prices, and nothing on this page is connected to live Local Mart inventory.

Chapter 07
The journey ends at a family’s door. Local Mart’s ambition is simple: support the people who grow our food and connect them with the people who need it.
Local Mart's current service area is Numaligarh Refinery Township. Delivery depends on stock, rider availability and confirmed operations, and no delivery time is promised here.
The rider and household shown are illustrative.
